The Swiss-Italian border is just 200 metres away, and the Col du St-Bernard Bus Stop outside connects to Martigny and Aosta.

Swiss Specialties with Alpine Views

At Auberge De L'Hospice, the restaurant serves Swiss specialities including fondue and creative dishes made from traditional local foods. A wide range of local wines complements the meals. Guests can dine on the terrace overlooking a mountain lake and the Italian Alps.

Newly Furnished Rooms

The rooms at the Auberge were newly furnished in 2015 with soft colours and natural materials. Each room includes a work desk and a private bathroom. The building has a lift and non-smoking rooms throughout.

Local-History Museum and Monastery Shop

The top floor of the Auberge houses a local-history museum. The shop on site sells souvenirs of the St. Bernard Pass and St. Bernard dogs, Swiss chocolate, handicrafts, and food and beverages produced in European monasteries. Free parking is available on site.

Cycling, Hiking, and Pilgrim Route Access

The St. Bernard Pass is on the Via Francigena pilgrim road. The Auberge offers cycling, hiking, and walking tours. Guests can also visit the Saint Bernard Dogs Foundation just steps away.
